[I’ve never been a fan of Gym’s and always felt very out of place there. Two months before turning 40 I decided I wanted to start lifting weights and building my strength. I’ve always had bad posture ( big boobs, small frame), sometimes even just standing straight felt like work, picking up my sleeping 6 year old felt impossible. I decided to start with Gladriel once a week. We started very slow working on form gradually building the weight. I had a goal to work out twice a week at home, I soon enjoyed it so much I was up to three times, and within a few months my body was feeling completely different. She spent time researching different parts of my body that were tight or needing extra attention. She shortened my workouts so I could get them done in time with a kid in tow. Want to get started but have a few questions?

How long will it take to see results?

There are a lot of variables, but consistency is your fastest way to any progress. In 0-4 weeks, you should notice some changes in your body, anything from standing more upright to feeling better. 6-8 weeks you should start to notice better overall form and getting a bit stronger. It also depends on the person, consistency and your goals.

Do I need to be fit before starting with you?

No, a lot of beginner clients start here. They want to learn form and work through any limitations first before following a cookie cutter program or go to a gym. Overall, it gives a sense of confidence to have someone guide you.

What equipment do I need for training at home?

It varies on the person, their abilities, skill knowledge, and goals. Bodyweight, dumbbells, bands, TRX, and/or other weights and accessories are used often depending on what stage you are at.

What if I have injuries or mobility issues?

Women over 40 often have joint or movement concerns. We work around and address issues together. We learn about your body and how it moves and find ways to be active and learn exercises that will help you move better and feel better.
